We are focused on keeping our guests and team safe, taking meticulous precautions to provide a clean, safe environment.  Both culinary staff and front of the house staff will wear masks and gloves and have their temperature checked before service.  We are complying with all CDC, Health Department, Liquor Authority and AHLA Safe Stay guidelines. Our staff is vaccinated.

Traffic flow throughout the property will be clearly marked to maintain social distancing, including designated waiting areas, limiting restroom use to one customer at a time, and designated entrances and exits.

DINING

We require proof of vaccination to dine inside. Limited reserved seating will be offered for indoor dining. Al fresco dining is available, weather permitting. You must wear a mask or face covering to be seated and when you leave the table. Call or reserve online, no more than fourteen days in advance. Please arrive no more than fifteen minutes before your reservation. We are offering contactless payment.

INN ROOMS

We are fully sanitizing the rooms between guests.  We ask that our guests wear masks when outside their room.

Jedediah Hawkins Inn is committed to making our facilities and website accessible to people with disabilities. We have been investing a significant amount of resources to help ensure that our website is easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities. We have a strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Improvements we have made and continue to make to the website make it accessible for impaired users as per the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA). We expect to have addressed any remaining issues we have control over soon.  We have taken the steps to achieve substantial conformance and we will continue to make every effort to meet evolving accessibility standards.

Enabling the Accessibility Menu

The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon of a man that appears on the right top corner of the page. This enables keyboard navigation, reading the text, changing the contrast, increasing font size, changing fonts, increasing cursor size, showing page structure and highlighting links. The website also has alternate text for the photos and video captioning for its videos, it is scalable and is consistent with ADA guidelines.

Booking a Table in the Restaurant

Currently our reservation system for the restaurant may not fully meet AA standards of WCAG 2.0. OpenTable is a third party service that we use on our site to make reservations in the restaurant. We are aware that it may have confusing labels, missing headings and titles. We have no control over the coding of this service and ask that if you are having difficulty making a restaurant reservation please give us a call at 631.722.2900 for assistance.

If a reservationist is unavailable, please leave a message with your preferred date, ideal time and party size and we’ll return your call as soon as possible. For quickest booking, please include your preferred date, ideal time and party size in your email. We’ll reply with our availability as soon as possible.

Although we do not have a braille menu as the menu changes almost daily, our servers are happy to read the menu. Our staff and manager are knowledgeable and professional and will help all guests with special requests.

The restaurant is accessible from the disabled parking spaces behind the Inn, up a ramp, through a wide door, to the dining room. Nearby is a disabled accessible restroom for the restaurant with a braille sign.

Booking a Room

Our booking engine, resnexus.com (opens in a new window) is 100% ADA compliant. Prices, availability and descriptions of rooms are accessible.

Our ADA Accessible room is Indigo (or also named one) on the ground floor. From the disabled parking spaces at the back of the Inn, up a ramp to the room is easy access, The bathroom has a large roll-in shower with foldable seating. The room is not available to be booked on the website so that we may save it for guests with disabilities. If you require ADA accessibility, and the Indigo room is unavailable per our electronic reservation system, please give us a call at 631-722-2900 or email us at info@jedediahhawkinsinn.com. (opens in a new window). If booked by a non ADA guest, you will be given first priority, and our guest will be moved to a comparable room.

Service pets

We accept service pets with proper documentation in both the inn and the restaurant.
